| 61st Annual Banquet Provides Memorable Night |  | | Nov 1 -- Those in attendance at the SVFD 61st Annual Banquet were treated to a memorable and entertaining evening. Festivities started with Chief's Awards issued to Kevin Ring Jr (EMS), Chris Tamalivic (Fire), and James Davis Jr.(Fire). Then Michael Fisher received the Chief David D. Syme Volunteerism Award. Scotland First Selectman Clark Stearns, State Senator Don Williams and State Representative Jack Malone presented the Neborsky family with a General Assembly Citation and an Official Statement from Governor Rell in memory of Walter Neborsky. The night was then turned over to The Black Burns, who featured guest drummer Bill D'Appollinio on a few songs.
